OUR HISTORY
Veteran dance team industry coach/choreographer/judge Mistie Thompson and longtime chiropractor/performance training specialist Dr. Mike Vishion joined forces in 2019 to create Missouri's first all star dance team gym. Combining Mistie's experience with Dr. Vishion's expertise, we founded WCAS on the philosophy that dancers are unique athletes needing specialized conditioning and performance training to maximize their capabilities while minimizing injuries. After spending our first year training in a local church gym, we were blessed to open its Chesterfield Valley location in May 2020 despite the COVID pandemic restrictions - and the blessings have continued from there. WCAS is proud to be entirely FOR our dancers, focusing all our efforts on nurturing and cultivating athletes to thrive on middle school, high school, college, professional, and all star dance teams.
OUR FACILITY
World Class All Star Dance isn’t a traditional dance studio – we’re a dance gym that brings together the best instructors, performance training experts, and space to train dancers as the athletes they are. Our nearly 10,000 sq. ft. gym in the Chesterfield Valley includes two dance floors – both Harlequin “sprung” Marley dance floors of the highest quality with multiple layers of shock-absorbing construction that helps protect our athletes. Attached to WCAS is World Class Performance Training, where Dr. Vishion trains athletes of all ages and sports to maximize their athletic strengths through training, injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, and chiropractic care. The WCAS open gym environment allows dancers to observe and be inspired by other athletes, hone concentration and focus, and get used to dancing in a dynamic, active environment that mimics the school dance team experience.
